Roofing Services FAQ
Frequently asked questions about working with a Roofing Company
When should I replace my roof?
90% of East Central Illinois roofs are replaced when they are 18-23 years old.
How much does a new roof cost?
Roof size, pitch (how steep it is) and materials are the three main factors that determine cost.
What material should I choose for my new roof?
Composite, metal, and TPO/EPDM roofs make up over 90% of the market. Typical "asphalt shingles" are composite made from either a fiberglass or cellulose mat, asphalt, and mineral granules.
How many bids should I get for a new roof or roof replacement?
We recommend getting three bids from local contractors you have researched and trust.
Even a poorly installed roof probably won't start leaking for many years in the future. That's why its beneficial for homeowners to work with local services. Roofing companies outside your area may not be available to repair mistakes or uphold warranty claims.
Can I get a new roof in winter?
Absolutely! We are an East Central Illinois roofing company that works year-round and knows how to deal with challenging weather.
We normally only need one decent weather day to tear off and “dry in” your roof. After that, it can rain/snow all it wants, and your home will stay cozy and dry while we finish installing your new roof.
When can you start?
Any good roofing company should have a lead time of 3-12 weeks (about 3 months), depending on time of year. Demand is always high for our services; so, even though there are roofing companies that can start next week, we are worth the wait.
